Então uma vez diagnosticada minha endometriose grau IV (profunda), meu médico indicou o uso de um medicamento chamado Zoladex. Uma injeção que deveria ser aplicada uma vez por mês na região do umbigo.
Mas o que era esse medicamento? O que ele faria comigo? Qual sua função no meu organismo? E os efeitos colaterais dele?
Eu não sabia nada, nunca havia ouvido falar, então lá fui eu ao querido salvador da pátria Google!
Quase morri do coração quando comecei a ler os efeitos colaterais (leia aqui)!
Quando li que minha voz iria engrossar (não iria não, esse é um efeito pouco recorrente, mas pra mim, já iria virar um locutOr de rádio hahaha), achei que fosse engordar uns 80 quilos. São muitos os efeitos, mas senti forte somente alguns.
Zoladex em simples palavras, induz artificialmente a mulher à menopausa, sim, MENOPAUSA, eu já sei o que é isso desde dos 28 anos!
Esse tipo de medicamento atua no eixo hipotálamo-hipófise-ovário. Ok, não entendi nada!!!! Calma, vou explicar…
O funcionamento normal dos ovários depende da secreção do hormônio GnRH que é produzido no hipotálamo, uma pequena área que fica dentro do cérebro. Este hormônio vai agir sobre a hipófise, que também fica no cérebro e, devido à ação do GnRH libera os hormônios luetinizante(LH) e folículo estimulante (FSH). Estes dois hormônios vão atuar sobre os ovários controlando o ciclo menstrual, ou seja, determinam a produção pelos ovários de estrogênio e progesterona.
Os implantes de endometriose (fora do útero) funcionam de forma semelhante ao endométrio que esta dentro do útero, isso quer dizer que precisa do hormônio estrogênio para sobreviver.
Os análogos do GnRH vão agir sobre a hipófise, impedindo a ação do GnRH e como consequência não teremos LH e FSH e por sua vez os ovários param de funcionar, levando a mulher a um estado de hipoestrogenismo, semelhante ao que acontece após a menopausa.
Dessa forma o que alimenta a endometriose é a menstruação, para que a minha não progredisse o tratamento indicado foi o uso da Zoladex durante seis meses. Eu usei a 3,6 uma vez por mês.
Existem outros medicamentos que proporcionam o mesmo efeito no organismo e são menos desgastantes digamos assim, ou seja, os efeitos colaterais não são tão ruins.
Nessa lista, podemos encontrar o Allurene, que é um repositor hormonal à base de dienogeste, um tipo de progesterona, que inibe a produção do estrógeno no endométrio. Como sabemos, é o estrógeno que alimenta a endo e com esse hormônio sintético de progestina, “as lesões não recebem mais o alimento e morrem de fome”, explicou Theo Vander Loo, presidente da Bayer no Brasil. Sem alimentar as lesões de endometriose, o Allurene promete combater às dores pélvicas e também à dispareunia, a dor durante as relações sexuais. Este usei somente um mês, outro dia conto toda a história.
A primeira aplicação (pensa numa injeção dolorida, tenho as cicatrizes dos buraquinhos na minha barriga), foi tranquila (SQN) e minha menstruação já não veio desde então.
As ondas de calor (calorão como diz a minha e a sua mãe, certeza) começou somente a partir da segunda dose!
Meu pai, que calor.. algo terrível de explicar, que não tem hora nem lugar pra acontecer que te deixa sem rumo e sem direção! Seu rosto e peito ficam vermelhos, você começa a transpirar na linha da coluna nas costas e na testa! É vergonhoso!!! Hahahaha
E a noite? Que você está lá deitada com uma cobertinha deliciosamente quentinha abraçada a seu esposo e vem a desgraça do calor!!! É insuportável, meu marido coitado, acordava e me ajudava a me abanar com os travesseiros até que esse calor todo passasse!!! E quando passava, vinha o frio, credo que frio! O pobre sofreu comigo todas as noites… me ama mesmo, porque pra me aguentar….
E o humor!!!! Não que eu seja brava ou qualquer coisa, sou uma santa!!! Mas nesse período a coisa ficou feia… Ao mesmo tempo que eu estava calma e tranquila, eu já virava “no Jiraiya”, e ficava louca, tá insuportável, cofesso… nunca tive TPM, pra alegria do meu marido… mas ele pagou todos os pecados dele durante os meses de tratamento com Zoladex, porque nesse período eu me encontrava constantemente de TPM, haja paciência comigo!!!
Tirando tudo isso, até que passou rápido esse período, e em março de 2016 faria uma nova cirurgia para verificar se o tratamento havia surtido efeito.
